IISC Entrance Test 2016 Eligibility

IISC is the undergraduate level examination conducted in the month of May. It is the national level examination. IISC 2016 Eligibility provides an overview of the rules and conditions that must be satisfied by the candidates if seeking admission in Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Banglore. It is strictly advised to the candidates to go through the information bulletin before applying for the application form. IISC Entrance Test 2016 Eligibility

For admission in the 4-year Bachelor of Science (Research) programme, the eligibility criterion is given below:
  • The candidates who have completed their 12th/II PUC in 2015 with 60% marks from a recognized educational board are eligible for admission. Those who are appearing their intermediate examination in 2016 are also eligible to apply. The SC/ST candidates have to score only passing marks in 10+2 for applying.
  • It is necessary for the candidates to pass 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. If passed qualifying examination with Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc and PCM then, he/she is also eligible to apply.
  • IISC 2016 Eligibility for Admission

    Here, we have mentioned the eligibility required for admission in the undergraduate degree courses offered by IISC. The admission to the IISC undergraduate programmes will be offered through KVPY, JEE Mains, JEE Advanced and AIPMT. The selection criteria of each entrance test are discussed below:
    Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
    • KVPY-SA : Appeared the entrance examination in 2014 and selected for the Fellowship.
    • KVPY-SB: Appeared the examination in 2015 and selected for the Fellowship.
    • KVPY-SX : Appeared the test in 2015 and selected for the Fellowship.
    • KVPY Fellows selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates
    The KVPY candidates who come under the above mentioned conditions are eligible to apply for admission in IISC through KVPY.
    (IIT) JEE-Main
    • The candidates who are appearing JEE Main 2016 examination in the month of April are eligible to apply.
    • Minimum 60% for GEN, 54% for OBC-NCL and 30% for SC/ST/PH is required in JEE Main 2016 for pursuing UG courses from IISC.
  • (IIT) JEE-Advanced
    For admission in IISC UG courses through JEE-Advanced, the selection criteria is same as JEE Main.
AIPMT
Those who have cleared the AIPMT examination in the year 2016 with 60% marks (for GEN), 50% (for OBC-NCL) and 34% (SC/ST) are eligible to take admission in various undergraduate courses offered by Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore.
