JIPMER MBBS 2016 Cutoff

JIPMER MBBS 2016 Cutoff shall be set by Jawahar Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) for two purposes – to delimit the number of candidates in the MBBS admission process and to pick the best of candidates for progression in the next round and ultimately, allotment. Since the number of seats is less than the number of applications received, it becomes necessary to decide a selection parameter to screen the candidates. All the candidates who appear in the exam will be screened through cutoff to decide their eligibility and qualification. Read the following article for more information on cutoff, its application, last year figures, and importance.

Usage of JIPMER MBBS 2016 Cutoff

All the candidates who appear in the respective exam will be assigned a score on the basis of evaluation of their answers. This score will be converted to percentile according to the average of top 10 performers in the exam. The percentile score obtained by the candidate will be compared against the cutoff. If the score is more than or equal to cutoff, he will be selected for the next round of admission process however if the score is less than the cutoff, he will be rejected. The selected candidates will thereafter be arranged in a merit list on the basis of their score
