IISC Entrance Test 2016 Eligibility

IISC is the undergraduate level examination conducted in the month of May. It is the national level examination. IISC 2016 Eligibility provides an overview of the rules and conditions that must be satisfied by the candidates if seeking admission in Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Banglore. It is strictly advised to the candidates to go through the information bulletin before applying for the application form. IISC Entrance Test 2016 Eligibility

For admission in the 4-year Bachelor of Science (Research) programme, the eligibility criterion is given below:

• The candidates who have completed their 12^th/II PUC in 2015 with 60% marks from a recognized educational board are eligible for admission. Those who are appearing their intermediate examination in 2016 are also eligible to apply. The SC/ST candidates have to score only passing marks in 10+2 for applying.
• It is necessary for the candidates to pass 12^th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. If passed qualifying examination with Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc and PCM then, he/she is also eligible to apply.

• IISC 2016 Eligibility for Admission

  Here, we have mentioned the eligibility required for admission in the undergraduate degree courses offered by IISC. The admission to the IISC undergraduate programmes will be offered through KVPY, JEE Mains, JEE Advanced and AIPMT. The selection criteria of each entrance test are discussed below:
  Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
  • KVPY-SA : Appeared the entrance examination in 2014 and selected for the Fellowship.
  • KVPY-SB: Appeared the examination in 2015 and selected for the Fellowship.
  • KVPY-SX : Appeared the test in 2015 and selected for the Fellowship.
  • KVPY Fellows selected through the Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST candidates
  The KVPY candidates who come under the above mentioned conditions are eligible to apply for admission in IISC through KVPY.
  (IIT) JEE-Main
• The candidates who are appearing JEE Main 2016 examination in the month of April are eligible to apply.
• Minimum 60% for GEN, 54% for OBC-NCL and 30% for SC/ST/PH is required in JEE Main 2016 for pursuing UG courses from IISC.
• (IIT) JEE-Advanced
  For admission in IISC UG courses through JEE-Advanced, the selection criteria is same as JEE Main.

AIPMT

Those who have cleared the AIPMT examination in the year 2016 with 60% marks (for GEN), 50% (for OBC-NCL) and 34% (SC/ST) are eligible to take admission in various undergraduate courses offered by Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore.

AKNUCET 2016 How to Apply

Submission of filled-in applications through online: Applications should be submitted through online only. For online submission, visit the Website www.aknudoa.in (or) www.nannayauniversity.info (or) www.aknu.edu.in .
A candidate has to pay Rs. 400/- (Plus Bank charges applicable for the mode of payment selected) as Registration and Application Processing Fee (and late fee if applicable) by opting any of the following modes of payments: (a) Debit / Credit Card (b) Net Banking. After filling the online Application form with the required details, verify all the details carefully and press Submit button. Filled in Application Form will be generated that contains Application number along with filled details. Take print out of filled in Online Application Form. Use the Application number for future correspondence till the admission process is completed.

The following information must be kept ready for filling in the details for online submission
a) Select the eligible courses.
b) Hall-Ticket Number of Qualifying Examination.
c) Percentage of marks and year of Passing of Qualifying Examination, if Passed.
d) Date of Birth as per SSC records.
e) Caste in case of SC/ST/BC candidates.
f) PH/NCC/ NSS/SPORTS /CAP etc.
g) Parental Income Upto One lakh or up to Two lakhs or more than Two Lakhs (rupees)
h) Study or Residence (from M.R.O) or relevant certificate for proof of local status.
Note: the above original certificates are to be submitted during the Counseling for Admission 

General Instructions: 
a) The University reserves the right to reject the application of a candidate at any stage, if a) the application is incomplete.
b) the candidate fails to satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions. c) false or incorrect information is furnished. b) Any change whatsoever, including that of caste/community status or category, shall not be permitted to be made in the filled in application once it is received by the University. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Upload of complaints will be allowed during April 11th - 23rd, 2016.
c) The Director, DOA is not responsible for non-submission of application by the notified date and time for any reason whatsoever.
d) The candidate should PRESERVE THE HALL TICKET to produce if at the time of test and later at the time of admission into the course.
e) For NCC/ NSS / Sports categories the certificates obtained in qualifying examination alone are considered.
f) The candidates need not apply again for admission into University Colleges, , and Colleges affiliated to AKNU.
g) INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED.
  

AKNUCET 2016 General Information

1. Directorate of Admissions, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram (erstwhile Rajahmundry) invites applications from eligible candidates for admission through Adikavi Nannaya University Common Entrance Test (AKNUCET)-2016 into various Science and Arts Courses offered in Campus Colleges of Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU), Rajamahendravaram and Colleges affiliated to AKNU offering P.G. Courses in East and West Godavari Districts for the academic year 2016-2017.

2. Candidates who have already passed their qualifying degree examination or who have appeared / are appearing for the final examination in 2016 only are eligible for AKNUCET-2016. Candidates qualified in advanced supplementary examinations of 2016 are also eligible.

3. Candidates seeking admission into various courses of study for which tests are conducted should appear for AKNUCET-2016. Eligibility criteria for different courses and Tests to be conducted are given in Appendix-I.

4. Candidates from other recognized Universities are considered for admission into PG Arts and Science courses only if they possess a three year Bachelor Degree of 10+2+3 or 12+3 or 11+1+3 pattern, with the prescribed minimum percentage of marks, unless otherwise specified. Candidates who acquired Bachelor Degree by Distance Education without 10+2+3 pattern are also eligible for admission into P.G. Courses, subject to submission of residence certificate.

5. Bachelor Degrees of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.A.Litt. and B.L. from Universities other than AP should be recognized by the respective University as equivalent thereto.

6. The requirement for admission into all Science and Engineering Courses offered by these universities is a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Group Subjects (Part II) of the qualifying examination unless or otherwise specified. For SC and ST candidates, a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in group subjects (Part II) is sufficient.

7. The requirement for Arts, Commerce and is generally a pass in the appropriate qualifying degree,. The requirement for M.Ed course is a pass with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC & ST Candidates).

8. ALLOWING A CANDIDATE FOR AKNUCET-2016 DOES NOT GUARANTEE A RIGHT OF ADMISSION INTO THE COURSE OF STUDY. A candidate must satisfy the eligibility criteria as given in Appendix-I. Candidates allowed to take the entrance test and subsequently getting seats by furnishing false information are liable for prosecution and cancellation of seats without notice. The decision of the admitting authority is final.

9. Candidates who have already completed one P.G. course (Professional or Non-Professional) will not be provided hostel accommodation and will not be considered for any type of scholarship whatsoever, as per G.O.s. in force. As per Govt of A.P. Social Welfare (Edn) Department Memo No. 10537 / SW. Edn. 2/2011 dated. 01.11.2011: The Maximum eligible age for obtaining scholarship in respect of SC, ST and BC is 34 years and in respect of EBC / Minorities / Disabled is 30 years for PG and above courses.

10. Candidates who have already studied a P.G. course are not eligible to write the test leading to admission into the same course. Such candidates are liable for disciplinary action.

11. The concerned University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the seats earmarked for a particular course on administrative reasons. All admissions are purely provisional and the concerned University reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage. Further, it also reserves the right to run or not to run a particular course depending on the number of candidates joined in it 

12. .A minimum of 10 candidates or 50% of sanctioned strength of seats for a course whichever is less should join in any course under Self Finance or Payment streams to run the course.

13. MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION IN ALL P.G. COURSES EXCEPT LANGUAGES OFFERED WILL BE IN ENGLISH. HENCE THE CANDIDATES SHALL WRITE THEIR SUBSEQUENT EXAMINATIONS AFTER ADMISSION IN ENGLISH ONLY.

14. All disputes pertaining to AKNUCET-2016 shall fall within the courts jurisdiction of Rajamahendravaram only.  

SRMCAT 2016 Syllabus for MBA

SYLLABUS AND PATTERN The question paper consists of 100 questions with duration of 150 mts. Each correct answer carries 3 marks and each wrong answer carries negative mark of 1. The question paper will have 5 parts with the following topics:

PART 1. DATA INTERPRETATION: (20 Questions) To evaluate the candidate’s ability to pick out critically the data and apply the data to business decisions from given typical business situations.
 • Data Interpretation based on text, Data Interpretation based on graphs and tables.
• Graphs can be Column graphs, Bar Graphs, Line charts, Pie chart, Graphs representing Area, Venn Diagram, etc.

PART 2. QUANTITATIVE: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the skill on solving mathematical problems of graduate level including those learnt in plus two or equivalent level.
• Ratios and Proportion, Ratios, Percentages, In – equations, Algebra and Profit & Loss
• Averages, Percentages, Partnership & Time – Speed – Distance, Work and time
 • Probability, Permutations & Combinations

PART 3. REASONING: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the candidate’s skill on Logical reasoning
• Critical reasoning, Visual reasoning, Assumption – Premise – Conclusion, Assertion and reasons, Statements and assumptions, identifying valid inferences, identifying Strong arguments and Weak arguments, Statements and Conclusions, Cause and Effect, Identifying Probably true, Probably false, definitely true, definitely false kind of statement, Linear arrangements, Matrix arrangements.
• Puzzles, Syllogisms, Functions, Family tree – identifying relationship among group of people, Symbol Based problems, Coding and decoding, Sequencing, identifying next number in series, etc.

PART 4: ENGLISH: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the skill of the candidate on written English with questions on errors in usage, grammar, punctuation and the like.
• Comprehension of passage
• Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Antonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences
• Sentence Correction, Sentence completion, Sentence Correction, odd man out, idioms, one word substitution, Different usage of same word etc.

PART 5: GK/CA/BA: (20 Questions)
To evaluate the candidate’s skill on General knowledge, current affairs and Business Affairs
• Current Affairs, Business, Punch line of companies, Top officials of big companies, Major corporate events
• Famous award and prizes
• Science, History, Geography, International organizations
• Social issues, Sports, Finance, Automobiles, Entertainment, Politics etc.

CBSE NET Eligibility Criteria

i)

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC (list attached page No. 21 to 47) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science &Applications, Electronic Science etc. (list of subjects of post graduation attached at page No. 18 to 19) are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test. ii)   Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of Junior Research Fellowship/eligibility for Assistant professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination OR equivalent with at least 55% marks(50% marks in case of OBC(Non- creamy layer)/SC/ST/PWD(persons with disability) category candidates. Such candidates must complete their P.G degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified. iii)   The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991(irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET. iv)   Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post graduation only. The candidates, whose post graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item No.14 (on page 11), may appear in a related subject. v)   Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility nor printout of their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to CBSE. However the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the UGC/CBSE at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action. vi)   vi) Candidates having post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/ Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/institute should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. KEA PGET 2016 Reservation for Persons with disabilities

3% of the Government seats will be reserved in favor of Persons with disabilities. The candidates claiming reservation under this category will be required to appear for Medical examination before a Committee comprising of the Executive Director, KEA as Chairman and three specialists from the Department of Orthopedics, Ophthalmology and ENT, nominated by the Government. Candidates with physical disability ranging above 40% should produce a Medical certificate issued by competent Doctor of any Government Hospital located in the State of Karnataka in the field of concerned disability, only on the day of Medical examination. Candidates suffering from hearing disability should compulsorily obtain and produce a BSER (Brain Stem Evoked Response) Audiometry report from All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore / NIMHANS, Bangalore / Manipal Hospital / Government Speech and Hearing Institute, Lingarajapuram, Bangalore. The Medical Board will examine the candidate and certificate and certify regarding the percentage of disability and the decision of the Medical Board is final. For the purpose of this proviso, persons with disability shall have the same meaning assigned to it, in the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Participation) Act 1995 (Central Act 1 / 1995). The candidates with disability less than 40% will not be eligible for claiming a seat under Persons with Disabilities. •

NOTE: The Persons with Disabilities, who fail to appear before the Committee for Medical examination, will not be eligible to be considered for allotment of seat under Persons with Disabilities.
