The animals play an important part in our life. Although in this atomic age we have sputniks and rockets yet we cannot do without the animals. They still remain essential in every part of the world.
But, unfortunately in India the animals are not well-treated. Young boys take pleasure in beating dogs and cats. The cows are not well-fed. They are lean and thin. The cartmen place heavy loads on the carts driven by bullocks and horses. The result is that the animals die very soon. Some animals are sloughtered and used as food. They also feed pleasure and pain like us. But they are dumb and mute. They cannot protest. So, we go on tortuning them. The animals render great service to hummanity. Human beings cannot do without them. Every kind of animal is of some use to mankind.
It is the duty of every citizen to treat the animals well. We all must be kind to them. We should take care of them when they are old.
The slaughter of animals for food should be stopped. The animals are a great wealth of a nation. They are the great friends and helpers of mankind. It is our duty to love and treat them well. They cannot speak but they also feel like human beings. Kindness to animals is a very noble virtue.
