National Institute Design (NID) of Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2016
All candidates applying for B.Des., GDPD and M.Des. programmes and having made the necessary payment for registration online will be called for the Design Aptitude Test.
- There will be ONE question paper of 3 hours duration.
- The question paper will be in English.
- The question paper will carry a total of 100 marks.
- The question paper will consist of both objective and subjective type questions.
- Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) from 10am to 1pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016.
- Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for Master of Design (M.Des.) from 10am to 1pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016.
- Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for Graduate Programme in Design (GDPD) for NID Vijayawada from 10am to 1pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016.
Test Centres for Design Aptitude Test
Design Aptitude Test will be conducted in the following cities in India: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vijayawada.
Candidates applying in the Overseas category (supernumerary seats) applying for either B.Des or M.Des. will have to appear for their DAT, followed by Stage 2 and Stage 3 exams, in Ahmedabad only.
NID reserves the right to add/remove any of these centres and allot a test centre that may not be of the candidate’s choice. A city may have more than one test centre. A request for change of a test centre within the same city/town will NOT be permitted.
Based on the scores obtained in DAT, shortlisted candidates for GDPD (NID Vijayawada) may have to appear for a second round of exams as announced separately by NID Vijayawada.
