AMU 2016 Seat Allotment for the undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture will start in the month of July 2016 tentatively. The Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Exam (AMUEEE) 2016 is scheduled to be held on 24 April 2016.
Procedure of seat allotment of AMU 2016:
- Seats will be allocated to the engineering degree courses that are offered at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) through the counselling process that will be held subsequent to the declaration of the AMU 2016 Results.
- The seat allocation shall be done on the basis of the AMU 2016 Merit List that is drawn on the basis of the performance of candidates in the engineering entrance exam after taking into consideration the candidate’s preferences.
- Candidates who have been allotted a seat should report to the concerned institute to complete admission formalities. Candidates who do not report for admissions within the stipulated date and time shall forfeit his/her claim for admissions.
- A candidate, who is provisionally admitted to a course/branch/stream/specialization that is not of his/her first preference, shall be automatically upgraded on merit by the University in the event of a vacancy arising for the candidate’s higher preference. A candidate who is selected for a higher preference will, thereafter, have no claim for the lower preference.
- During the AMU 2016 Seat Allotment procedure, the University in addition to the main select list will also maintain a ‘Waiting List/Chance Memo List’. In case, any seat remains unfilled after the completion of admissions of candidates on the select list, the remaining seats may be offered to candidates on the Waiting List/Chance Memo List strictly in order of their Chance Memo Number.
